PICS - Imaging the way to your pet's heart
Trachea (Airway) - pushed to the side
of the neck, around the mass. (Our ET tube is following this deviation- the ET tube is flexible, it does not push it to the side like it may appear). Normally the trachea is almost straight.
On this side view (Lateral Neck), the trachea is pushed upwards and over the mass
ABOVE ;This view is the chest x-ray, the trachea is seen coming from the neck (LHS) and starts branching into smaller airways above the heart. The chest is normally clear and full of air, this x-ray shows multiple opacities throughout, typical of metastatic disease.
Metastasis throughout the chest
Disk Spondylosis T11-T12
The ventral neck Mass was FNA'd and results were neoplastic, likely the primary site before spreading to the chest.
