PICS - Imaging the way to your pet's heart
BUSTER the Golden Retriever -
He presented on the 14/6 to the Central Coast Vet Centre with a cough, dull lung sounds on the R side and harsh lung sounds ventrally on the R side. He had been on antibiotics + other medication previously and x-rays had suggested something not quite right. He was only showing signs of mild kennel cough. After blood testing a CT was performed
two days later. Results pending/undergoing
open chest surgery & recovery.
The above CT Scans are performed with soft tissue settings- in these scans the normal lung appears black & can not be seen.

UPDATE- Buster had successful open chest surgery and all his right sided lung lobes have been removed. Samples of his lymph nodes at the base of his heart have returned as carcinoma and he will begin chemotherapy shortly
